What am I interested in? Primarily Model Railroading of
course!! Then there is home repairs (oh joy), maintaining the cars and that
22 year old pickup that needs attention from time to time. Speaking of old ,
at least older than me, is my 1955 John Deere 40. Biggest lawn mower on the
block!! So here's a few pics that should help explain it all.
 | DCC installs for fun & profit!! Yes,
if you get good at it, you can pay for most of your decoders
themselves, by installing decoders for others. That way the DCC bug
doesn't seem to bite as hard!

 | Here's a little beauty I did twice. Its an Alco
Models brass Shark (Baldwin). It ran so well, I had to get a running
mate, re-power and decoder it, then painted and detailed them in D&H
warbonnet scheme. Sweet! |

 | Kitbashing or Yes Virginia, there is a difference.
Kitbashing is basically the combination of 2 or more
kits into 1 final finished product.

 | Notice the old Revell barn. Even though it has
been converted into a bank barn, its length changed and the old side
walls moved to form the "downstairs" wall, it is still recognizable
as a Revell kit. See the pic below, same barn, different view

FCSME members and the experience of being part of the crew that was in
Great Model Railroads 2005

 | John Deere tractors.
Oh yeah, gotta love the sound of an old
Deere, and yes, I'm addicted to them too! I have a 1955 John Deere
Model 40 that cuts grass, plows snow and other things no mortal lawn
mower can do. I'll get a picture up soon |
